The first ever
World Forum Against Drugs was held in Stockholm,
Sweden, from September 8th through the 10th.
This global forum is the first of its kind at which NGOs,
self-help
groups, treatment centers, academics, municipal and
regional
authorities, politicians and other decision-makers,
private
individuals, the business community and others from
around the world
have got the opportunity meet to express ideas and share
experiences
about how to work successfully against illicit drugs.

On April, 28-29, 2008 in Pinsk
will take place opening
of photo-exhibition
the
Swedish journalist Maria Soderberg
"Drugs: the face of tragedy".
The exhibition will
be placed
in the Polessian State University.
In the program:
- study seminar;
- the action
of Pinsk teenagers
in support of a
healthy way of life.

On January 16th-17th, 2008 in Brest (Belarus)
took place International seminar on the problems of
drugdependence among teenaders. In the program of the
seminar there presentations of the representatives of
NGOs from Belarus, Russia, Sweeden, Aemenia and
Kyrgyzstan. The top moment of the seminar was
presentation of the results of the research of tabacco,
alcjhol and drug use by students of Brest region born in

1-2 of June, 2007 Byelorussian and Swedish
Poetry Days took place in
Pinsk.
Swedish and Belorussian writers Astrid Trotsyg, Claudia
Marks, Erik Berkvist, Uladzimir
Neklyaev, Leanid Dran'ko-Majsjuk,
Viktar Zhybul',
Vera Burlak (Dzheti) and famous bard Zmitser
Vajtjushkevich took part in the event.
Special exhibition of paintings and graphic works based
on Belorussian and Swedish poems was presented for the
visitors.
32 students from Pinsk, Luninets and Luninets area aged
from 15 to 18 years took part in the Youth Poetry Cup.
10 of them came to final.
The main intrigue of Poetry Days is two winners of the
Youth Poetry Cup!
Olga Kupdjumova (1st place) and Nikita Najdjonov (1st
place) are going to Stockholm. |
